I'm keeping the contents of this blog mainly as a place to post images. I'm continuing to make my notes in a journal which I'll make into an artist book/sketchbook. I've been thinking about using a similar format to an illuminated manuscript. 
the images to the left have been reworked in photoshop - using the multiply tool. I've been thinking more about the design in their creation and how these could make up my portfolio.

This is my image for the November issue of 'Article'. I drew the original picture in the summer, so feel there is a strange kind of dislocation with the figure wearing a summer outfit.
I found the fireworks in the wider brush selection in photoshop and cut and pasted the lampost from an existing image.

It's been too long since my last post on the MA blog, so I'll endeavour to get this up and running again.
Briefly, I've been working on developing the Lord Cut Glass character and have tried using plastecine which has had benefits and limitations.
I've continued to look at the layout and have been reading ...?i'll expand later but have included some of the models and drawing for the time being...
I've also been reading 'Understanding Comics - The invisibl4e Art' by Scott McCloud...which has taken up much of the last week...thinking about pacing and layout.
